•   Can I test drive a car?

A-We understand that you may have to test drive several cars before you make a decision. Please take your time – booking a test drive allows us to serve you best but we can do an ‘on-the-spot drive with our pleasure. If it’s the right car for you, you can secure it there and then (see below).

• Do you need a deposit to hold my car once I have chosen?

A-We usually ask for £200 deposit to secure your car.

• How quickly can I have my new car?

A-As soon as possible – We can often do this on the same day. Sometimes, it can be a couple of days. We can arrange a 7 day free insurance and tax your car on your behalf to make this quicker.

• How much Warranty comes with the car?

A-All cars come with any balance of manufacturers warranty, or a 6 months warranty. We also have a selection of warranties from 12 months to 3 years for you to choose from. Ask for our comprehensive Warranty Information booklet.

• Will my new car have they timing belt changed?

A - We change the timing belt before you collect you car unless the car is not due for a change according to manufactures guide and taking any previous service history into account. In case is doesn't need changing we still check the timing belt for any wear and replace if necessary

• Will my new car be serviced?

A - We service every car before you collect unless the car is not due for a service according to their manufactures service schedule. In which case we provide a SMT safety check so you can be sure you are driving away in an excellent vehicle. We can also book you in for your next service when you collect so you can forward plan your motoring needs.

• How do I pay for my car?

A-We take all major credit cards, and cash (sorry, no personal cheques)

• What do I do if I find something wrong with my car?

A - At SMT Car Sales we want to help you if your car goes wrong, please call us and we will help you resolve your problem as quickly as possible.

• Does my car come taxed?

A - Your car will come taxed for either 12 or 6 months as you request. We will fill in the paperwork and go to the Post Office or DVLA (if you are having a cherished transfer). The only thing we ask of you is payment!
